AfroFood’s Yeti Ezeanni was selected as one of the select few local and international chefs invited to be featured in the 5th Annual Publix Healthy Cooking Pavilion at the 2012 National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta, GA. Yeti whipped up a few of her famous dishes and provided recipe tips featuring AfroFood Spices on both Friday and Saturday of the event.  The menu included AfroFood Curry bean fritters with a tomato relish, an African stir-fry with AfroFood’s Thyme and a pan-seared tilapia seasoned with AfroFood’s Ras El Hanout.

AfroFood at the 2012 Fancy Food Show in DC

The 58th Summer Fancy Food Show, held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., was a magnet for thousands of specialty food buyers from the top names in retailing and foodservice from around the world. The three-day event, the largest marketplace devoted exclusively to specialty foods and beverages in North America, took place June 17 – 19, 2012. More than 80 countries and regions were represented.

AfroFood was one of 2,250 exhibitors at this year’s show and we wowed everyone with our Curry Chicken made with our very own AfroFood Curry Spice. We look forward to partnering with a number of retailers in the near future to bring AfroFood Spices to a store near you!
